Alcohol is a very good preventative treatment for lice. You can continue to use it for head lice prevention after you use it in this way.

Essential oils should never be ingested as some of these could be very toxic. Also, Never bring them in direct contact with your skin or scalp and always first dilute them with a carrier oil and patch test a small drop to ensure you don’t have an allergic reaction to them.
